Wordle has been pretty straightforward all week and today's puzzle continues that trend. WordleBot says people are solving it in an average of 4 guesses, and it shouldn't cause too many problems.
It's not entirely without complications, though, so you'll want to start with one of the best Wordle starting words to give yourself the best chance of success.
I'm a Wordle addict who's been playing since December 2021, so I can definitely help you solve Wordle today and improve your game for tomorrow. Read on for my hints and clues to Wordle #594.

Wordle today (game #594) – hint #1 – Vowels
How many vowels does today’s Wordle have?
• Wordle today has one vowel*. (Need another hint? Next I’ll tell you what the first letter is.)
There's just the one vowel in today's Wordle answer, which happens more often than you might think. Wordle has an average of 1.75 vowels per game among its 2,309 answers, so you'd expect two vowels slightly more often, though.
The last game to have one vowel in it was yesterday's SHIRK.
* Note that by vowel we mean the five standard vowels (A, E, I, O, U), not Y (which is sometimes counted as a vowel too).

What letter does today’s Wordle begin with?
• The first letter in today’s Wordle answer is T. (Want a third hint? I’ll also tell you if there are any repeated letters.)
T is a common starting letter in the game, with only S, C and B featuring more frequently.
Surprisingly, we've not had one for ages though: the last answer that started with a T was THIRD for Wordle #549 in late December.

Repeated letters are quite common in the game, with 748 of the 2,309 Wordle answers containing one. However, it's still more likely that a Wordle doesn't have one.

Wordle today (game #594) – the answer
The answer to today's Wordle, game #594, is… TASTY.
Well, I really messed this one up. WordleBot says this one has an average of 4 – so right in the middle for the game. Yes, it has a repeated T, but I really should have been able to solve this one in fewer than 5 guesses.
What's more, my game got off to a good start: CRATE left me with just 22 possible solutions, whereas I still had 77 to whittle down yesterday and managed to get it in 4/6.
Other start words would have been better still: SLATE, WordleBot's favorite, left just 6 possible answers, and STARE wasn't too far behind on 12.
But I'm not complaining, because CRATE gave me a yellow A and a green T, which is pretty good. It was my second guess that was poor, not my first.
The mistake I made was to look at that T sitting in position #4 and think 'Ah, it probably has an H after it.' And in some games it might well have done – there are 36 Wordle answers that end TH, making it the 15th most common ending combination.
However, based on what else had been ruled out, that wasn't the case. In fact, FAITH was the only TH word it could have been at this stage. Far more likely was a TY ending, which could have given me NASTY, SALTY, PASTY, MALTY, TATTY, AUNTY, HASTY, FATTY or indeed TASTY.
I realised my mistake on the third go and guessed SALTY. This pointed the way towards one of three answers: NASTY, PASTY or TASTY. I could have narrowed it down for a guaranteed 5, but instead tried to salvage a 4 and failed with NASTY, before finally scraping home with a 5/6 anyway.
Let's hope I'm on better form tomorrow, eh?

Wordle yesterday (game #593) – the answer
The answer to yesterday's Wordle, game #593, was… SHIRK.
This has not been the hardest week in Wordle history, and the trend continued here with another puzzle that WordleBot says people are solving in fewer than 4 guesses on average. In this case, it's at 3.8 – so slightly harder than Wednesday's SCOLD, but not by much.
I made slightly harder work of it than I should have, though, with a third guess that was essentially a waste of a go.
Things didn't get off to the best of starts, either, with just a single yellow R from my opening CRATE. That left me with 77 words, according to WordleBot, but then none of the really common start words would have helped much here. The best of WordleBot's favored options was TRICE – which left just 11 solutions – but most of its top choices were in the 60-100 range.
That's not that surprising, though, because neither H or K features in many of the best Wordle starting words, and I is a lot less frequently used than A, E and O.
My go-to word after a single R is generally ROUND, as it uses another two vowels plus the common N and D. But it didn't help much on the face of it, still leaving me with just that yellow R.
If only I'd had access to WordleBot at this stage my game might have been rather different, because it turns out I now had just seven possible answers left: SHIRK, SWIRL, WHIRL, SMIRK, MYRRH, GIRLY and SPRIG.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, though; at the time I figured I still had lots of options and instead played SLIMY. I knew this couldn't be the answer, but I wanted to narrow things down as much as possible, and playing this enabled me to include as many of the remaining common letters as I could.
Still, though the chance of a 3/6 had gone it did the trick by giving me a green S and I, and reducing my options to just 1. I found SHIRK fairly quickly and played that for a slightly-above-par 4.

What is Wordle?
If you're on this page then you almost certainly know what Wordle is already, and indeed have probably been playing it for a while. And even if you've not been playing it, you must surely have heard of it by now, because it's the viral word game phenomenon that took the world by storm last year and is still going strong in 2023.

What is Wordle?
Wordle challenges you to guess a new five-letter word each day. You get six guesses, with each one revealing a little more information. If one of the letters in your guess is in the answer and in the right place, it turns green. If it’s in the answer but in the wrong place, it turns yellow. And if it’s not in the answer at all it turns gray. Simple, eh?
It’s played online via the Wordle website or the New York Times’ Crossword app (iOS / Android), and is entirely free.
Crucially, the answer is the same for everyone each day, meaning that you’re competing against the rest of the world, rather than just against yourself or the game. The puzzle then resets each day at midnight in your local time, giving you a new challenge, and the chance to extend your streak.
What are the Wordle rules?
The rules of Wordle are pretty straightforward, but with a couple of curveballs thrown in for good measure.
1. Letters that are in the answer and in the right place turn green.
2. Letters that are in the answer but in the wrong place turn yellow.
3. Letters that are not in the answer turn gray.
4. Answers are never plural.
5. Letters can appear more than once. So if your guess includes two of one letter, they may both turn yellow, both turn green, or one could be yellow and the other green.
6. Each guess must be a valid word in Wordle’s dictionary. You can’t guess ABCDE, for instance.
7. You do not have to include correct letters in subsequent guesses unless you play on Hard mode.
8. You have six guesses to solve the Wordle.
9. You must complete the daily Wordle before midnight in your timezone.
10. All answers are drawn from Wordle’s list of 2,309 solutions. However…
11. Wordle will accept a wider pool of words as guesses – some 10,000 of them. For instance, you can guess a plural such as WORDS. It definitely won’t be right (see point 4 above), but Wordle will accept it as a guess.
