Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Comcast will release an online streaming service for live TV later this year.
No, I’m not talking about Stream, Comcast’s trial run at an “over-the-top” streaming package that debuted in 2015. This time around the service is called Xfinity Instant TV and will be rolling out to Comcast’s markets nationwide this fall, according to Reuters.
Comcast has yet to officially announce the new service, but it would reportedly be a redesigned version of Stream. Xfinity Instant TV would also replace Stream in the limited markets where the trial service is available.
