Hands-on with the Windows 10 Creators Update for the Xbox One: Beam game streaming arrives

The Windows 10 Creators Update is here, now—yes, now—but not (officially) on the PC. The first platform to officially receive Microsoft’s new operating system is actually the Xbox One, with an updated UI complementing a new matchmaking tool and Beam game streaming.

The Windows 10 Creators Update began rolling out Wednesday to both the Xbox One and Xbox One S. It’s less dramatic than the changes introduced to Windows 10, yet still noticably changes the way users interact with the console.

In addition to the new UI and Beam, Microsoft also plans to add Arenas—a way for players to organize their own tournaments and other competitions—to the Clubs and Looking for Group features it added in the fall. Arenas, however, did not ship with the Creators Update.
