Following a complaint from Spotify, Apple faces EU anti-trust investigation to determine if it unfairly favors its own apps above those from its competitors.

The problem appears to be two-fold:
Competing services such as Spotify resent paying Apple a percentage on subscription and digital item sales, and competitors also argue that the built-in nature of Apple’s own services on iOS also gives the company an advantage.
The Netherlands’ Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) will examine whether Apple abuses a dominant market position “by giving preferential treatment to its own apps,” a Bloomberg report stated.
