Consider Apple’s track record. Ever since the iMac it has delivered consistently important products: iTunes, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods.
Achieving this consistency takes discipline but means customers are much more willing to take a look at the next product release. If you don’t maintain such consistency, then you have to win customers over each time you release anything.
