AdVPN is an adware program that promotes itself as a free VPN service that allows you to stay private on the Internet. While I can't verify if their anonymization works, I did see that while the program was installed it would also open the default browser and show random web sites and advertisements. For example, while AdVPN was running it would open Chrome and display various web pages. One of the web pages that was shown repeatedly was www.technologycraze.net.
