Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition is the definitive way to play this cult-classic RPG

Planescape: Torment is one of the best Infinity Engine games and, by consensus, one of the best RPGs ever made. It’s a game/philosophical treatise/bizarre meditation on life and death that deserves to be played at least once by everyone.

And up until this week that took some doing. I should know—I just replayed Planescape in January, using a copy I bought in some D&D anthology a few years ago. Oh, plus about a half-dozen mods. This is the guide I followed, which recommended a widescreen mod, a UI mod to fix the widescreen mod, an unofficial fan patch to fix the remaining bugs, the “Unfinished Business” patch to finish a bunch of half-finished quest lines, and the tweak pack which includes everything from a “Banter Accelerator” to modern conveniences like “Stackable Rings.”
