iPhone 16 Pro price: everything you need to know

Apple revealed new Pro iPhones at the 'Glowtime' Apple event on September 9, 2024, and you can relax as it's not increased the price of the iPhone 16 Pro or an iPhone 16 Pro Max

In fact, given Apple has given the two Pro phones a healthy amount of upgrades, including improved cameras and a new A18 Pro chip, plus incoming Apple Intelligence features, you're arguably getting a decent amount for your money than last year's iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

So read on for what you need to know about iPhone 16 Pro prices.

iPhone 16 Pro prices

As you'll see in the table below, the iPhone 16 Pro has the same starting price, and starting storage configuration, as its predecessor:$ 999 / £999 / AU$1,799. And in Australia the phone has even dropped a little in price, which was unexpected.

While far from cheap, the iPhone 16 Pro is competitive with flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 9 Pro. It's more expensive than the entry-level models in those ranges, but arguably justifies it thanks to Apple's tight iOS and product ecosystem.

Starting at $1,199 / £1,199 / AU$2,149, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced the same as its predecessor and is some AU$50 cheaper in Australia.

As mentioned with the standard iPhone 16 Pro, when the upgrades are taken into account, the 16 Pro Max isn't terrible value; it's just not cheap. For reference, it's not as expensive as a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
